The Ambassador’s Lodge Field House

Location: The field house is located on a scenic hill overlooking a lake and the Knuckles Mountain Range and just 15 minutes away from the Wasgamuwa National Park. The field house is accessible to most vehicles.


  • Five bedrooms than can accommodate 14 individuals on shared basis. Couples can be provided with their own rooms.
  • All rooms are provided with ceiling fans, individual beds with mattresses, linen and mosquito nets.

The Irriyagaha Ulpotha Field Camp

Location: The field camp is located in a property shaded with massive trees adjacent to the Himbiliyakada Forest Reserve and the buffer zone of the Wasgamuwa National Park. A perennial spring flows through the campsite. Access to this site is only by 4WD vehicle and it is 45 minutes from the entrance to the Wasgamuwa National Park. Elephants and other wildlife visits around the camp and on numerous occasion sloth bear and leopard have been spotted in the vicinity. Due to this reason guests are advised against wandering about the property especially at night without the presence of a staff member. It is also advisable to carry a powerful flashlight during the night.
